NICE adopts open policy of granting admissions to students irrespective of race, gender, ethnicity, background and socio-economic conditions on merit and upon the fulfillment of admission criteria laid by the Institute.
Admissions shall be made twice a year by the Institute; i.e. in the Fall and Spring Semesters of an Academic Calendar year that starts from Fall Semester.
PAn applicant may appear in the Admission/Aptitude test more than one time in case if they fail in the previous test or to improve his/her score.
Institute considers every applicant individually after conducting a review, evaluation and assessment of the following:
• Previous Academic records and fulfillment of the minimum academic eligibility criteria and requirements for the concerned program
• Performance in Aptitude Test and Written Assessments
• Performance at interview
There will be separate Aptitude Test for admission at Newports’ Main, North and Malir Campuses. Candidates may choose their specializations after a minimum of 2 years of study at Newports Institute for undergraduate and 1 year for graduate programs.
There is no distinction in the fee structure between the Main, North or Malir Campuses in Karachi.
• The admission is based on candidate's ability to meet the following conditions:
• Apply and register for the Aptitude Test.
• Pay the required fee for processing of his / her admission application and obtain admit card.
• Qualify the Aptitude Test
• Appear for an interview
• Meet the minimum academic eligibility requirement for the concerned program and provide mark sheet / transcript and other related documents of the same.
• Students are required to provide equivalency from the relevant authority such as HEC or IBCC etc., for their degrees and/or certificate obtained from an International University or Institute.
• The prime aim of the Aptitude Test is to evaluate candidates for their quantitative and numerical capabilities, communication skills, reading comprehension, vocabulary, analytical abilities and general knowledge/ current affairs.
• The main aim of the Interview is to bring out the best qualities that are required in candidate to succeed in their chosen program of study and also bring out the potential of the candidate so that he/she can positively contribute to the community once they pass out from Newports Institute.

Internship Program:
Transfer into NICE can only be accepted for candidates who have studied or are currently studying at HEC recognized universities. Transferring credits must have a minimum letter grade of B or above (or 70% marks) for Master’s programs and Bachelor’s programs it’s C and above (or 60% marks). The request for transfers must be made at the time of admission. All documents related to transfer of the credit must be submitted along with the “Course Transfer request form”. The transfer of the credits is subject to the approval of the Credit transfer committee of the Institute.
Candidates will be required to clear all NICE admission requirements.
Bachelor Course Transfer:
A maximum of up to 50% credits may be considered for transfer into BBA / BS programs.
MS Education (M.Ed.) Course Transfer:
A maximum of up to 25% credits may be considered for transfer into MS Education program.
MBA Course Transfer:
A maximum of up to 12 credits may be considered for transfer into the MBA (36 credit-hours) program. Research Project/Thesis is not transferable.
A maximum of up to 33 credits may be considered for transfer into the MBA (72 credit-hours) program. Research Project/Thesis is not transferable.
A maximum of up to 42 credits may be considered for transfer into the MBA (90 credit-hours) program. Research Project/Thesis is not transferable.
NICE Inter-Department Transfer:
For inter-Department transfer, the candidate must fulfill the admission requirements of the given program at the campus, as per applicable transfer policy. All courses / grades are transferable. A transfer fee will be payable for students transferring from any other Department at NICE.
After submitting admission form, admit card will be issued to candidates in which date, venue, reporting time and roll number for the Aptitude test will be given. Candidates are required to bring their admit cards at the time of Aptitude test.
As the first part of the admission process, intended students are appeared in the Aptitude Test for admissions conducted by the Institute, before the start of a semester. Aptitude test is composed of number of multiple choice questions (MCQs) and is divided into parts/sections as mentioned below:

Quantitative or Numerical problems
General Knowledge
Interviews are conducted for evaluating the level of maturity, academic aptitude, motivation, interpersonal skills and career focus of the applicants. Successful candidates of the aptitude tests are called for the interview by a penal of Faculty Members, Subject Experts or other relevant members.
The admission officer will notify successful Candidates via email and call regarding their Interview result. After notification, they will be called for document and fee submission.

Students that fulfill all the documentation requirements will be allowed to submit the fees. After successfully accomplishing all the requirements, students will be sent to registration department for their course registrations. Students should not be allowed to take more than six courses in one semester.

The aim of Orientation session is to meet and greet with the faculty as well as management and also familiarize with the Institute’s policies. Newports Institute always strives to provide comfortable environment and facilitate the new students. Management, Faculty, Alumni and few existing students will provide their valuable insights to new students and get them familiar with the Institute Culture. After the session, official Institute tour will be held in order to facilitate the new students and get them familiar with the departments.
